NPSA Saves Trees On Arbor Day
The National Portable Storage Association celebrated Arbor Day by encouraging its members to organize a beautification project in a public arena, hold a paper drive to gather paper that can be recycled to save a tree, volunteer with local tree-planning organizations, and educate consumers and businesses about the tree-saving possibilities of portable storage.
“You can do many different things to celebrate Arbor Day, from reading a book about trees to organizing an Arbor Day Fair. But portable storage industry companies would do well to explain to the masses how we can save trees by using portable storage units as building components,” says John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the NPSA.
“By getting the word out about how containerized storage can be modified into many different types of dwellings, including houses, portables storage companies can do well by doing good,” Finnessy continued. “As more architects and engineers realize the value of portable storage besides traditional storage purposes, we can save trees, recycle containers, and build a stronger industry.”
