NPSA Honors Former Association President Dale Payne
The National Portable Storage Association offers its deepest sympathies to the family of Dale Payne, president of A Aamerican Container and Trailer Leasing Corp. Dale passed away on Sept. 28, 2009 from heart complications.
“On behalf of the portable storage industry, I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to Dale’s family, friends, and colleagues,” says John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the National Portable Storage Association (NPSA). “He was a remarkable man, a loving husband and father, and a dear friend. The portable storage industry has greatly benefited from his countless contributions. He will be missed by many.”
Dedicated to his company and the industry as a whole, Dale worked tirelessly to learn more and promote the use of portable storage and developed some of the first wind studies related to the use of stacked containers in hurricane conditions. Dale’s efforts were recognized by his colleagues. He was the Chairman of the Board for a statewide Florida trade association, the Florida Association of Mobile Self-Storage Units (FAMMSU), and past-president of NPSA. Dale is survived by his wife Angie, his 11-year-old son Jordan, his six-year-old daughter Macakyla, his parents Frankye and Harold Payne, his sister Sherry, and a large extended family.
